Model 501 Mono Amplifiers (pair)
Effortless.
An amplifier's ability to drive a loudspeaker and accurately portray a
musical composition's dynamic crescendos in lifelike manner rests in
its capacity to provide instant and effortless power upon demand.
Utilizing ICEPOWER™ power conversion technology to produce over 500
watts into 8 ohms and 1000 watts into 4, the Model 501 easily
satisfies this criterion. Born from the same knowledge and experience
that inspired the critically-acclaimed 300 Series, the Model 501
raises the bar to new heights in its achievement of sonic excellence
in a small, efficient, low-cost package.
Exploding
myths. Jeff Rowland Design Group has convincingly and
consistently proven that careful and enlightened execution of design can
overcome and reverse notions once thought of as audio heresy, i.e.,
line-level transformers, fully-balanced inputs and outputs, switching
power supplies, and the list goes on. The 501 dispels the myth that only
low-power amplifiers can faithfully honor the original source.
Satisfying
demands. The finest modern loudspeaker designs,
from diminutive studio monitors and massive multi-driver arrays to
large, full-range electrostatics, require an unwavering source of
amplifier power to convey music naturally and realistically. The great
majority of loudspeakers present complex and difficult loads that must
be driven in a linear manner. The Model 501 satisfies this demand
while maintaining the precision of a lower powered amplifier.
Flexibility.
Multiple Model 501s are as capable of powering a custom
multi-channel home theater system as two units driving a full-range
stereo loudspeaker system. Its diminutive size and low operating
temperature allow for flexible placement in any listening environment.

The Model 102 - stereo amplifier
 |
 |
At Jeff Rowland Design
Group, truly great audio has been reduced to this: The astonishingly
powerful and incredibly efficient Model 102 stereo amplifier, definitive
proof that good things can come in small sizes.
Utilizing the same ICEpower™ patented power conversion technology that
has revolutionized modern amplifier design, the Model 102 packs a true
100 watt wallop in a tiny 3x13x7 inch machined solid aluminum housing
virtually immune to resonance.
The newest member of the JRDG family of fine audio components,
the 102 is the product of an obsessive quest to perform one of modern
electronics' most difficult balancing acts - the creation of clean,
dynamic power without the
unwanted and, now unwarranted, byproducts of excessive heat and mass.
The Model 102 achieves this goal by the innovative application of
impressive new developments in power supply and power output stage
design. This 10-pound marvel features a balanced input/output topology
combined with true
dual-mono power supplies to deliver handsomely on the promise inherent
in its elegant appearance.
Pound for pound, the Model 102 is simply an amplifier without peer,
producing an entrancing and satisfying musical experience far out of
proportion to its dimensions... and at a price that redefines value.
The JRDG Model 102, size one up and discover the true state of audio
excellence, from the Jeff Rowland Design Group.

The 300 Series
Announcing a new era in amplifier
technology . . .
Model 302 Stereo Amplifier
When attempting to
describe an achievement so spectacular as to be proclaimed
"revolutionary", words often fail to convey the depth of
that achievement. Our listening persuades us that the Model 302 exposes
the music to a greater degree than previously experienced - and yet
the familiar Jeff Rowland sonic lineage is evident - a lineage steeped
in constant efforts to develop products that honor the music.
Utilizing an extremely
efficient output topology that maintains very precise control over all
electrical parameters, the 300 Series amplifiers communicate the
musical gestalt in startling fashion. This level of sonic
sophistication is made possible by concentrating on physical and
electrical parameters that adversely affect the delicate musical
waveform.
Enlarged Photo
The elimination of
deleterious resonance can only be achieved by addressing the physical
structure of the amplifier, our most non-resonant to date. In addition
to pioneering the use of balanced, transformer-coupled circuitry in
audio amplifier design, the utilization of commercial-grade
power-factor correction modules ensures that anomalies related to
"dirty" power never influence the music signal.

The Model 201 Mono
Amps
A new amplifier design, like all other creative
pursuits, borrows
lessons learned from previous
successes.
The
Model 201 is the direct beneficiary of the
knowledge gleaned from the development of the
300 Series. While the 300 Series represents our
no-holds-barred utilization of these new
concepts to achieve the pinnacle of audio
reproduction, the Model 201 exploits those
lessons learned to create a product that
extracts the full capabilities of these new
technologies, yet accomplishes this feat in an
extremely efficient, ecologically-sensitive,
low-cost package.

The Synergy IIi
preamplifier

specifications
In 1996, the Synergy Stereo Preamplifier
was released, creating a benchmark upon which other preamplifiers were
to be judged. Debuting with an extremely compact and non-resonant
chassis design with a separate AC power supply, the preamplifier
immediately won praise for its outstanding presentation of the naturally
recreated musical event.
In 1998 the Synergy was upgraded to
Series II status, adding the flexibility and sonic benefits afforded by
audio transformer coupling and a second pair of preamp-level outputs.
This change in circuitry improved the unit's capacity to interface with
diverse associated equipment.
In December of 2000, a new amplification
board utilizing modern "small geometry" surface-mount
technology gleaned from the Coherence II Preamplifier and the Model 10,
Model 12, and Model 112 Stereo Amplifiers was designed and released for
the Synergy II, lowering noise and distortion, and shortening signal
paths dramatically. The current Synergy IIi presents a musical
presentation that fully complements the current series of JRDG
amplifiers and showcases their benefits without intruding upon the
original source signal. Improved transient response, speed, and
dynamics, increased transparency and neutrality, and an elevated level
of detail retrieval and resolution combine to bring the Synergy IIi to a
performance level significantly higher than was thought possible –
without an increase in cost. The Jeff Rowland Design Group Synergy
Series IIi - embracing our long tradition of applying state-of-the-art
technology in the name of music.
