During the late
1980's, leading Danish industrial designer and passionate
audiophile Bo Christensen set out to create a new kind of
audio company. Frustrated by the sound quality, aesthetics,
and user interface of typical audio gear, he created a team of
designers, which included gifted electronics engineer Bent
Nielsen, to form a technology group named P R I M A R E
Systems
A.B. of Sweden. Their corporate mission was, first and
foremost, to design components of exceptional sound quality.
Secondly, the products should have an elegant appearance,
precise proportions and a user-friendly interface.
Additionally, it was decided to eschew the industry standard
twelve-month product life cycle and instead develop
"living products" that could easily evolve as
technologies and methodologies changed. Mr. Christensen's
vision and potent combination of clean Scandinavian design,
simple elegant circuitry and straightforward operation created
audio components of uncanny originality.
Today,
P R I M A R E enjoys an enviable
reputation as a supplier of high-end audio products recognized
for their superior qualities of sound and style, evidenced by
the continuous and consistent praise in the European press.
Embracing a highly efficient global manufacturing and
distribution business model, P R I M A R E is prepared for the
challenges of the future and positioned for growth in the new
millennium. As the future unfolds, the defining precepts of
coherence, proportion, and balance will serve to guide the
team at P R I M A R E . |
